Loss of performance
« on: February 17, 2008, 02:45:54 pm »

After a fresh download of MC12, the ripping and file conversion speeds are great (10.0+ on the rip to FLAC and ~14 sec. per song convert from FLAC to MP3).  After ripping a handfull of discs or converting a couple of dozen FLAC files, speed drops to 6 - 7 for ripping and file conversion comes to a complete standstill.  Last night I set up a list of songs to convert from FLAC to MP3.  After converting about 12 song files it stopped on one song and made no progress by this morning (9+ hours).  Is there some sort of buffer or memory cache that is filling and not emptying?  Are there any suggestions for changing settings that I could do to alleviate this problem.

Thanks

Check memory usage via Windows Task Manager. A while ago I observed a memory leak when ripping. I am wondering if it is back.

What build are you using?  12.0.438 is available at the top of this board.
