Help showing files please...
« on: March 13, 2008, 12:00:43 am »

I lost my drive that had my music. I had a backup of some of the files, so I put them on the new drive and everything works. Since some of the files are missing the music will not play. I would somehow like to have the libary show me what files are missing so I can re-rip the missing cd's. In mc11 it would show a red x in front of the artist/album.

How do I do this with MC12?

Thanks you for any help!

Morning fastboat,
Select a view that lists all of your audio files, then paste the following into the search bar (top right)

[=IsMissing([Filename])]=1

If you have tens of thousands of files, the search will take a few seconds to complete, but once done, the files you see listed are deemed "missing"

MC has a feature that lets you do "Find and Replace" so you could change D: to F:, for example.
