Can MC Act as a uPnP Client
« on: March 16, 2008, 07:09:15 pm »

If i have MC running as a uPnP server on my desktop, can I use MC as a uPnP client on a laptop? I'd like to share media files over my home network.

No, you need either a different program to act as the client, or a dedicated hardware solution.

There are other ways to use MC to share media over a network, UPnP isn't the best one unless you have a standalone UPnP box.

Library server works well for music files.

For video, shared network drives work best.
