It appears, from searching this forum, that the "Number Plays" field should update from an iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen.

Mine does not. I do have the "Get play stats from handheld on connect" option checked.

Viewing the contents of the iPod under Drives & Devices, I see that songs I have played show a "Last Played" date of "12/31/1969 7:00 PM", but that does not transfer to the MC12 library (seemingly a good thing). As mentioned above, "Number Plays" also does not update in the main library. That is what I would love to change.

Any thoughts or ideas will be most appreciated.

We can't reproduce the play count problem 2nd Gen Shuffles with either the 1.0.3 or 1.0.4 firmware installed. The play count is getting imported on our trials.

Shuffles don't keep track of last played so that will not get imported. (Note: 12/31/1969 is essentially just an empty date.)

It looks like updating the firmware may have made a difference. I don't think I had ever connected my iPod to iTunes (had never installed iTunes)

My play count now updates, thank you.
