Any way to use a Nokia 770 as a remote?
« on: July 02, 2008, 05:41:07 am »

Is it possible to use a Nokia 770 as a remote for version 12.  I like the screen size and would like to be able to browse my artist and album lists from my couch.  I've searched this forum and found nothing conclusive?

If is does work, how?

If not the Nokia, is there another device with a relatively large screen that would work?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Do a search for xptunes...that will probably work by controlling mc with the nokia's web browser.

I have my Nokia n800 connected 24h to the server pc using remote desktop. Alternatively a vnc client will probably work similar. This works very fast and responsive using mc's native gui.

Thanks Peter -

XP Tunes sounds great.  Do you have any idea when it will be released.  I just did a search and all I could find was a thread with beta test feedback.

Sadly I can't use net remote since I use Vista Basic - though VNC may work as well.  But it really sounds like  XP Tunes would be best.

Thanks,
