Import files error "memory could not be read"
« on: September 14, 2008, 10:14:02 pm »

I loaded MC13 beta into another workstation and tried importing my large collection of MP3s.
MC 13 crashed at file no. 91002 which is about where it crashes in MC12 per my previous problems with importing and memory errors.
The error message for MC13 is slightly different and it only crashed the import process. When I closed the error box, MC 13 was still running.
Note that this is a different workstation running MC13 than the one I am running MC12 on and having importation problems. However it is the same network media server and same files that I am trying to import.

Matt, I sent you an email with the error message screen shot. I forgot to turn on logging on MC13 so no log file to send this time.
Suggestions?

I've sent you email as well, but look for much better handling of huge (300,000+ files in your case) imports in a coming build.  We did a lot of optimizations to help this one.

Let us know what you find once the next preview is available.

Thanks.
