Registration problems....

Help!  I kept getting "License file not found" when attempting to register, and now my regisration code is no longer valid.  Arrrrrrg!


Steps:
1. I purchased the license and received the "Thanks for your purchase. Registration Code inside" email, which contained the correct license code.
2. Navigating to https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi, I entered the license code and clicked on "Restore".
3. A message dialog displayed "License file not found" and then popped up a file-system navigation dialog...
4. Thinking I did something wrong, I tried again with the same result.
5. Next I uninstalled my Version 8 trial, keeping the data files, and then re-installed my Version 8 trial.  This version was downloaded and saved on 6/17/02.
6. Next I attempted to register, but it asked if I wanted to update MJ, so I did
7. I then attempted to register again, with the same result
8. I then uninstalled the entire MJ, reinstalled the entire MJ
9. Attempting to register again resulted in a "Your registration code is no longer valid"

I probably missed a step there, but you get the point.
Can someone help me get this thing registered?

Download the version from our downloads page.  Install it, then check MJ/Help/Registration Info.  You may be set.

If not, then visit the Restoration Page.  I just cleared all the restores you tried.

If it doesn't work the first time, check the FAQ carefully.

Try IE as your browser.

Thanks for your reply, but...

1. Using IE 6.0.26 I downloaded MJ version 8.8.329 from your downloads page
2. I installed it and attempted to register it with same license key
3. I received the message:
Error installing Media Jukebox license:
Failed opening license file
4. I then checked MJ/Help/Registration Info and it reads:
Product:  MEDIA JUKEBOX 8.0.329
Registered To: UNREGISTERED - 0 days left in the trial period.
5. I then read the FAQ again and found nothing of value to help me solve this problem

I'm on Windows XP and I could send more details, but not through this funky dialog.

Any suggestions?  I really want to register this program!

From the restore page, right click and save the installation key as a file.

Then using windows explorer, double click on that file.

By visiting the restore page?

If it failed then, do you have admin priveleges on the machine you're installing on?
