WebEngine SDK: no [PlayingFile.Rating]?
« on: September 20, 2013, 07:46:33 pm »

Using WebRemote with a web browser I would like to add the RATING to show up in the HTML code of WebRemote/playingnow.html.

I tried [PlayingFile.Rating] but the page outputs no result. :/

Is it possible to show and set the rating value through the html api? If so how? I didn't find anything at http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/WebEngine_SDK but I recall that this was somehow possible on the windows version some time ago.

Any ideas how to show the rating in a web browser?

If you want to get really fancy, you could make MCWS calls with Javascript and handle the MPL response.

However, adding access to rating as a simple field would be no trouble.  Bump this in two weeks if it doesn't just happen.

Thanks.

Next build of MC19 Windows:
SDK: The HTML engine supports .Rating and .RatingStars variables on any file object (can be used by WebGizmo, etc.).

I would like to add the ratings to the display of tracks in album views, is there an easy way to do it?
