XMLTV file is not valid
« on: March 12, 2009, 01:21:09 pm »

I'm getting "The XMLTV file is not valid, or does not contain any program information" error when setting up the guide data. The xmltv.xml file looks fine to me, it does contain channel data. I'm using TitanTV data "mc2xml -c us -g 91709 -t" at the cmd prompt and select ATSC (digital) Broadcast. Everything goes fine until I try to load progam guide. Using 13.0.132.

Could you email a copy of the file to matt at jriver dot com?

Also, what locale and language of Media Center are you using?

Thanks.

Thanks for the file.

Unfortunately, it's parsing fine for me with the latest Media Center 13.  You might try upgrading to the latest build from the top of this board.

What happens if you pick XMLTV when loading the program guide (if you're not) and manually pick that file?

When it asks to you connect channels with XMLTV names, make sure you connect at least one.

Thanks.
