Auto Upgrade to Chargable Version?
« on: March 28, 2009, 10:35:02 pm »

Today when I started my paid/registered copy of Media Center (version 12 I believe) I received a prompt saying that a new release was available, and asking me if it should be downloaded.  I clicked "YES" and an installation process executed.  When Media Center finally started up it told me it was Version 13 - and that I had 30 days remaining in my trial period.    Did my V12 just prompt me to download a chargeable release without even telling me there would be a cost?

Is it true that I have to pay for this Version 13 upgrade?  If so, how do I get back to V12?

Thank you.

MC13 is an upgrade past MC12.

Someone can post a link to download MC12 or just look around.  I was having trouble finding the latest version 12 on the forum.  The upgrade is $20 or so.  If you don't upgrade then you won't get to take advantage of all the great additions in version 13...but that's true with any software.

Here's some info on MC13 features

It does tell you.  The price is in the message.
