Help ....mp3 scheduler.......
« on: July 16, 2002, 11:26:43 am »

When I purchased this, I thought it had an mp3 scheduler. Is there a plug in or something I can use. I have a show that's broadcast to millions, I was hoping that this little program would allow me to schedule what times I would like to play certain songs.

Did I waste my money?

No, you did not waste your money :) You could schedule MJ to play certain songs and even playlist. To schedule a play session, select "Start Custom Task" as your task action. Click on the Command Shortcuts button and select "Play a media file". Replace with the path of the music file you wish to play. You can also schedule to play a playlist. The following thread should give you more information about it.

Under Start/Program/MediaJukebox, check for Media Scheduler.

Darn'it, now I can't get my m3u's to play. The program lists them but they will not play, even when I manually click on them. What's going on? I even built a new playlist usuing MJ and exported it for later use. When my scheduler loads the m3u list, nothing.

Help...!!!

I tried it and it works for me. Can you make sure the files in your m3u is valid? You could also schedule to play a playlist from Media Jukebox. Just replace the path with "TREEPATH=Playlists\PlayListName" here is a link to a list of command line accepted by Media Jukebox.

I appreciate your help Raymond,

Look, this is the deal. Oddly enough, when I list my files in a .ram file they play without a problem. However, they will NOT shuffle. I imported the sames files in the playlist creator section and exported an m3u and mpl metafile. None work. I really need my m3u file to shuffle. All of my files list when the scheduler tries to open the m3u file but none of them play. Again, ALL of my files play fine in .ram format but not m3u. In fact the format for MJ and RAM playlists are exactly the same. So I don't know why it sees one and can play one but not the other. My associations are all set as well.

What's the deal?

I am sorry to say that I cannot reproduce the problem. Make sure you have the latest version of Media Jukebox (build 330 found in this forum). Also, please paste your system info here (Help -> System Info)
