Author Topic: The DirectX Host modules crashes MJ when a DirectX plugin is uninstalled  (Read 1278 times)

hello,

I have MJ 12, along with the DirectX Host module, and everything went fine until I recently decided to uninstall a DirectX plugin that was currently used by the module.
Now, MJ crashes every time I try to play a song, just because DirectX Host cannot find the plugin anymore. On top of that, the "Playback Options->DSP Studio..." window is out of reach because you need to play a song to access it, and as I said, I cannot.
I can disable the DirectX Host module tweaking the registry but I still cannot update its settings (and remove the faulty DirectX plugin from its entries) simply because I don't know where to look.

How can I solve this? Am I doomed :)? Are there any registry keys that I need to change?

Thanks for your time.

removing the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Jukebox 12\Plugins\DSP\MJ DSP\ key does the trick and reinitialize the settings
