Samplerate not supported?
« on: June 26, 2009, 01:01:50 pm »

What is up with this ASIO Error - Samplerate not supported?

This has happened to me a bunch today.  I'm just playing some of my mp3s... nothing fancy.

ASIO probably requires your card to run at the sample rate of the file.  Not all cards can run at 44.1 for example.

You might also try WASAPI if you're on Vista for hardware direct communication.

I don't have the fanciest card.. but I KNOW it does 44.1k. (M-Audio Transit)

It's DEF not because the file is too high of a samplerate... I can come back later and play it with no problem.

I wonder if something else might have your soundcard locked, like a webpage that plays sound?

If you haven't, you might also try updated drivers.
