Burning a CD
« on: July 09, 2002, 12:31:36 pm »

I'm having trouble trying to create CD's.
I drag MP3's into Media Jukebox and choose "burn CD".
After converting all of the songs I get the message

Error "WRITE" command failed on device 1:0:0
Read/Write error or bad medium-detected(04h 00h 02h 03h 73h 03h).

Please Help.

did you try other brands?

did you try it in test mode?

is the cd rated at the speed at what your trying to burn?

Also, try a lower write speed.

I have tried to burn cd's with Adaptec cd creator but get the same results.
I have lowered the speed to 1x, 2x and 4x.
I checked the cd in test mode and it said the test was fine and to now record to cd.
When I pressed "start" the cd drive would'nt recognise the cd.
Its definitely a new and good quality cd.
I'm wasting many cd's and Iwould appreciate any help you could offer.

Thanks.

Also try shutting down any programs running in the background, especially Power Management settings.

Defraging the hard drive could help along with more memory.
