PlayBack Filter
« on: July 09, 2002, 04:42:33 am »

I never looked at it until yesterday, it is checked "do not filter".

The other options are grayed out and I'm unable to uncheck do not filter, is there a problem?

Strange.  You are sure the other options are greyed out?  You cannot uncheck "do not filter".  You must first select a filter, and MJ will uncheck it automatically.

I have no play lists or smart lists, (that I know of) and both those options are grayed out.

Is that what you mean by filter, a play list?

As a rule I just play music and burn using Nero, I was exploring
some of the options.

Ok, that explains it

Filtering allows you to play only within a playlist/smartlist or to skip a playlist/smartlist

If you have none, there's nothing to filter

Ans as Lise mentied, the do not filter is automatically turned off by MJ when you select a playlist in the skip or play only
