Crash whilst tagging

i am frequently getting "crashes" when tagging
dopey question! - how do i find out why?

by a process of elimination coupled with use of logging tools provided by JRiver and a lot more information provided by you :)

1st, turn on logging. To do so, in the top toolbar, click on Help > Logging..." and enable logging.
When next it crashes, view the log file and post the last 20 -30 lines of the log file in this thread.

Also, it might be helpful if you post your system info too. This can also be found under the Help menu.

Other questions that need to be asked include, but not limited to:

What file types are involved?
Are the files/library on a network or are they local?
Are you using any third party plugin tools?
What exactly is the nature of the "crash"? (hard lock, app silently closes, an error message is shown, if so, what does it say etc. etc.)

ipod not attached - message disappeared quickly.
message roughly - no data on ipod with prompt to initialise ipod then MC14 crashed.
restarted MC14 same again  ::) ::) ::)

howdy folks - i have removed everything apple from my computer
i think a good move- so far all is ok and computer running better too i think
