I selected 170 files to convert the bitrate of (ah, wonderful grammar!).  Old files were selected to be sent to the recycle bin.  Many hours later, only sixty files were in the bin.  Where the rest were is anyones guess.

Also, all the converted files had '(1)' appended to them, and when displaying their properties via Explorer, under 'Summary/Advanced', nearly all the tag information is not displayed.

The recycle bin only holds so much... after that, new stuff overwrites old stuff.

And the (1) gets added when the file name without the (1) exists during the conversion.  Just use File Properties -> Tools to clean the names up.

Take care.

Ah, yes!  Very good point.

But the original file was flagged to be deleted.  I suppose had I chosen another directory to convert to it would have been OK - but then I'd have to move them back to the original dir...

Good point.  I haven't investigated that function much yet, but it's a priority due to other things like all upper case names :-)

I am a fool!  I can't stand those threads like 'HELP!!!!!', and 'It's broke' etc, etc.  I just pass them by.  I shall chastise myself fully (but won't enjoy it one bit, oh no!).

PS  Great support :-)) I knew I'd made the right purchasing decision.
