"Saving Tag Changes"
« on: September 23, 2009, 12:08:21 am »

I have a media library on a server in my house that I've been maintaining for a few years with MC 12.

The library is composed of mostly smallish flac files (music) with a few hundred mp3 files that represent sections of audio books.

Today, I upgraded to MC 14 (in an effort to get my new iPod to function - to no avail yet) and each time I close MC 14, I get a message that says "Saving Tag Changes".  Sometimes it says "20 files", sometimes it says "10 files", and sometimes it gives another number.  It seems to take forever to do whatever it's doing, but whatever it's doing, it's doing on its own, as I have done nothing to alter tags.  There's a chance, of course, that MC 14 is loaded data from the internet on its own, and then saving that data with my files, but, well, that would be rather odd.

Any ideas?

Analyzing the audio for replay and album gain.
