A new attempt at installing MJB more than once
« on: July 07, 2002, 10:53:16 pm »

I'm still looking for a way to use four installed copies of MJB to play to all my soundcards instead of one MJB for my main zone (living room and home theater) and three copies of WinAmp for the other zones. So on my XP Pro PC I created a new user account (let's call that 2) in addition to the main user account (let's call that 1) and installed MJB under that account, installing it to another directory. No problem. I assigned it to my second sound card (SBLive). No problem. I then went back to the main user 1 and chose "Run as" and ran it as 2. No problem. Finally I started the copy of MJB that's installed under user 1. Big problem! It insantly crashed, without giving me any useful information. The crash was in mediajukebox.exe.

Am I on a fools mission here? Is this something that can't be done, JimH? And are you still thinking about a way to do this, or am I in a minority of one who needs this function? :-)
