Tv scan 80315 to 80318
« on: July 05, 2002, 06:50:26 am »

Anything change on Tv scan from 80315 and up.
Have been running 80314.
Been downloading 80315 to 80318, but havent had time to try them.
Yesterday, I tried 80318 and it locks up on tv scan.
Cant select country or anything.
Locks up sound card, reboot doesnt help. Run sound ck. and it clears up sound card.
Tried then 80317 and down the same thing.
Reloaded 80314 and its ok.
So went back to 80318 and tried again. No go.
Notice if I gave rapid multiple clicks on the scan button it would take off, but it realy wasnt scanning. click cancel (which didnt work befor), click add channels and rescan and it worked ?
Still was unable to select country and turner type never came up.

I am having the problem of not being able to select listings
for TV. I have to do an end task to get out.

On clicking listing button tthe pops open and immeadiately
closes.

I reproduced this. There has not been any significant change in TV component that could cause the error. In fact since MJ build 8.0.314 there was only one change in TV which fixed a bug. Rolling back the TV component does not solve the problem. So this seems to be in the main MJ program. We will look look into it. Meanwhile, here are a couple of work-arounds:

1. Repeatedly clicking on the OK button will eventually dismiss the "Video Standard" dialog window. Afterwards TV will function normally.

2. Setting these registry values will avoid having to display the above dialog window:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Music Exchange\1.0\Media Jukebox\TV Settings

The DWORD value "Country Code" should be 1 for USA, or other values for other countries (telephone country code"

The DWORD value "TV Tuner Input Type" should be 0 for cable channels and 1 for Antenna channels.

Hope this helps.
