Soundspectrum G-Force in MC14?
« on: December 09, 2009, 10:44:02 am »

Has anyone tried this? I bought a license a couple of years ago, but stopped upgrading when the support for MC was temporarily dropped. I looked at their release notes, but there was only MC13 mentioned at version 3.9 - 23 January 2009.

Thanks!

I've stopped using it since I switched to MC14.  I often want to get it going again, but since I don't see the current version listed as supported, I haven't renewed my license.

It works a treat with v14.

One thing I did notice the other day though, was that I was playing music, and decided to run a photo slideshow at the same time. Instead of seeing the photos in their own display window, G-Force was displaying them in it's album info area, where you would normally see cover art on track change.

I haven't jumped to report it yet as I need to investigate further, but aside from that, the current G-Force (3.94) works fine with the current MC without needing any registry editing shenanigans.

Excellent.  Andy will likely be getting a payment from me this weekend.

I have G-Force, Whitecap, and Winter Wonders 2010. All work perfectly with MC14.

Note: I dropped Softskies so I don't know if this works with MC14..

Winter Wonders is too repetitive for me. It's great and all that, but after a few hours, there's nothing more to see. I wouldn't recommend anyone to drop any cash on it.
Softskies didn't cut it for me either, I renewed my Whitecap license, mainly to get an installer that doesn't seem to mind which version of MC is present, as I find that while nowhere as short lived as Winter Wonders, it too loses it's edge after a while.

G-Force on the other hand is the mutts nutts, everyone should at least try it, and maybe even buy it!!

I like the new WhiteCap (the long-ago old one did get boring pretty quickly), but generally I agree with Marko here.  G-Force is outstanding and WhiteCap is very good.  Andy can keep the rest.
