Vision Theater View Skin
« on: March 15, 2009, 08:39:01 am »

I started work on this... and then lost interest, ran out of time.
I'm a full time IT Manager and for some reason I can't seem to glue myself in front of a machine after sitting in front of the things all day any more.

It's only a semi skin really.  It's basically Obsidian with some different graphics.

Maybe useful to some however.  I might do some more with it some day.
It kind of goes with the 2nd Stage skin which you'll find from my signature.

Nice. Thanks for sharing.

I know the feeling. Hopefully you'll be inspired to finish this some day though.

Cheers.

Very nice!

A few comments:

1) The 3-D image is top notch compared to the stock MC image, but it might look better if there was an alternate version of it with the green, blue, and/or purple colors from 2nd Stage.

2) The cursor accent over files looks nice, but is a little too subtle.  Maybe adding some sort of subtle diagonal glass reflection over the entire item itself would make it stand out a bit better.

I had a play around again recently.   I think this isn't going to get more work until I have a big screen to play with it on,
and at the moment I can't find a screen that meets my needs.  I'm also waiting to buy one of the nifty remotes Jim keeps teasing us with.

In the mean time have a play with this.  I created a vector version of the MC logo, then created a png and used that as the background.  You may like it.

Ps feel free to let me know what it looks like on a 52" telly :)

Well I can tell you the MC logo looks superb on my 60" plasma ! The quality of the logo is spot on.

What I would like is to retain the "show online media slide show in artists views"  for CDs (Tools/Options/Theatre View/Theme:Default/Options)

Is this possible ?
