Media Center 15 issues
« on: July 25, 2010, 01:56:55 am »

Just wanted to say generally a great product, the main reason to use it being that sound quality is way better than Windows Media Player. I do have some strange issues though with Version 15.0.73. These issues were also present in the last stable release:

1. Sometimes when I start an audio file, it plays but with no sound (WASAPI). Stop it and start it again and suddenly I have sound.
2. Images that have been edited by Windows Live Photo Gallery appear in Media Center in their original unedited form. Most strange. Renders browsing images in Media Center completely useless.
3. DVDs play with stuttering and strange pauses. I can play videos in Cyberlink PowerDVD with no problems.
4. Can't play FLV files. Media Center downloads and installs an additional component. But still nothing.

Thanks for the post.

You might have better luck if you keep a thread dedicated to a single problem.

For DVD, this might help:

I've never heard of the WASAPI issue you describe, so start with updated sound card drivers.

Thanks.
