OT syst idle process?
« on: June 16, 2002, 01:12:41 pm »

I used to run my syst in FAT32 mode and have been running WIN XP PRO in NTFS mode for 6 months. I never used the task manager before and have lately and have noticed that my system is running up to 96% in the syst idle process in the task manager while I am doing nothing. Does any one know what this is, means and is it normal.

Thanks

yes it normal.  the idle process is what the system does when it has nothing to do.  it's fun to look around at what the system is doing, no?
