Open in read only mode. Why?
« on: March 03, 2011, 08:05:58 pm »

I started to create a new library for files in a specific directory.  After the creating this library, ti tells me that database is opened in read only mode, and changes will be lost.  Why does this happen?  Win7 admin rights.  Where is the default library located?  Whyd does'nt it happen to that?

That sounds like you have two instances of the app open at the same time - the second one opens read-only. Shut JR down and try that process again.

I have another one that I had open on another machine playing music from a net drive while I used this manchine to get familiar with MC features.  Thought they were independent with libraries located locally.

So, can anyone confirm whether running one two machines is supposed to create this kind of problem?

I retried the new library with only one MC running throughout the network.  It still opens in read only more.  Is there anything I need to do to make it run right?  If not, please tell me how to revert to a previous version.  Like an earlier MC15 build.
