Duplicate files?
« on: May 26, 2011, 12:02:47 pm »

I changed the network connection to my files on my server from Y: to Z:  Now the library shows thousands of duplicate files.  How do I get rid of all those files with out manually deleting them 1 by 1?

Search for Y:, then search for Z:   Do you see one set when you do each?  You can delete the one that isn't correct.

Try a few and check that you haven't deleted the files themselved.

Jim,

In the library is where I have all the duplicates.  When I changed from Y: to Z:  The library seemed to have kept all the file links to Y:  Now that Z:  is the file location it also put a link for all the files to Z:  the problem is that now under each artist I have duplicate tracks.  It's like a few thousand of them.  Should I just reinstall the software?
