Unable to seek in dvb-t .ts video
« on: October 11, 2011, 01:55:51 am »

Hi

I have tried searching the forum, but found very little info

I am using ROHQ, and when I open a .ts recorded tv file, I am unable to seek in MC.

I have used http://nate.dynalias.net/dev/tsfilesource.rails in other software to get problem free ts playback.

However, I could not get MC to load it when using ROHQ with additional filters

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Could you make a sample available?  You can email to me if it's 30 MB or less (matt at jriver dot com)?

Thanks.

Hi

I should clarify the problem.

The file source filter linked to in the first post allows viewing (and seeking) of ts files while they are still recording. I have used this successfully in a custom graph in theatertek.

ts files that have finished recording seek fine in MC.

My problem is that I couldn't get MC to use the file source filter in ROHQ with additional filters.

ANy idea what I could be doing wrong (I simply selected the source filter in the dialog), or is there a way to see any errors.

Currently Red October doesn't support custom source / splitter filters.

I'm going to send this to nevcairiel (author of LAV splitter) to see if LAV might support seeking while recording.

If not, we'll consider honoring user selections of source / splitter filters when using 'with additional filters'.

Thanks.

Hi

Any further news on this?

Is allowing RO to work with additional source filters on the agenda for MC17?
