Red October and Broadcom HD Decoder
« on: September 29, 2011, 03:49:47 am »

I have a netbook with a Broadcom HD Decoder installed.
This decoder has it's own DirectShow filter for playback and works properly in MPC-HC.
When I try to use this filter with MC by manual configuration, it doesn't work.
Can you take a look into that? Would be cool to use MC on my netbook for movie playback.

Thanks,
Raist

Interesting. Can you give the name of the broadcom decoder? Matt et al may need it if they are to 'whitelist' it.

Yes, the DirectShow filter is simply called Broadcom Video Decoder.
The setup file is called Broadcom CrystalHD Video Decoder.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
