When I switch to Theater View while playing audio I get nothing but a blank screen.  The audio still plays but I have a blank theater view.  All other views work Display view etc..  Is there a setting I jacked up?

It's a pretty sure sign of outdated Display Drivers or DirectX version. Try updating them both. Go to Graphic card manufacturers home page and download drivers there. If that does not work, get the latest DirectX 9.

If it ONLY happens when you're playing audio, then I'm not that sure. But there is a chance new drivers will cure it.

On another note about theater view.  Is it possible for be to make the 2 menu bars at the top go away when audio is playing and the artist slide show is active?

Don't think so. They are pretty much active all the time except from display view. It has been requested to auto hide the second roller when not needed though.
