Returning to a perennial favorite. Is there any chance in our future that we'll get a pitch control. I use several other DJ mixers (particulartly like Mixmeister pro) but MJ could repace them all *if* the long awaited pitch control would arrive. Thanks in advance and in anticipation.

talked about this 2 versions ago.

maybe a scrach button, where you DJ's can push it and you can get a scrach?

maybe a bunch of buttons where you can add your own sounds and when you press the button with your mouse you can add the sounds to the music as they play.

an option to record what your playing, and have mj save it to include all sounds you add to the music, maybe also from the mic input?

Steve,
Don't let King discourage you.  He's fooling around, as you probably know.

We would love to keep adding features, but we are already being accused of being overly complex (and dowdy) so we have to be careful.

In order to go to the next level for DJ's, we need to better understand their needs.  Maybe you could start a thread on that.

Thanks for thinking of MJ.

sort of, but I don't think it would be a bad idea to have a plugin that a DJ could maybe play with.

I could see that. Have MJ be as generic as possible and leave the specialty stuff to plugins.

Instead of a big screen that displays a countdown timer, you could have a screen with all sorts of controls for playing around with the music.

Don't need a new thread.

Here's the consensus from three DJ forums. MJ is the best all purpose software for preview and compilation. We know how difficult it is to accomodate everyone so here's the deal, we'll shut up, never ask for anything again, and tell everyone to get MJ if....

'YOU JUST GIVE US A PITCH CONTROL SLIDER'

That's what the DJ's say.

OK,
Show me the forums.  Where are they?

Sorry, but I'm dj-challenged.  I really would like to learn a little more.

Thanks for thinking of MJ.

Hopefully we'll get time to finish up the DirectX audio plugin support for Media Jukebox 8.0's DSP studio.  Then you'll be able to run almost any commercial DSP there is, all inside of MJ's 32-bit playback chain.

Also, you could point any developers here, so they can craft their own MJ DSP plugins:

Take care.
