Gizmo/WebPlay: File captions?
« on: November 13, 2011, 12:05:37 pm »

Hi,

I've been wondering if there is a way to control the file captions used in Gizmo. Right now, it seems to always use the default [Name] field, but for tv series i would really prefer it to be something like "[Episode]. [Name]".
I know i can configure this for theater view, but for Gizmo this would be a great addition as well.

Did i miss this option somehow, or if not, would it be possible to add it?

Explore the options under Media Network/Advanced.

I did, and the only option relevant there is the option to control the Views, which works fine. However, it does not let me control what is actually shown for the file itself.
... Unless i just don't know how.

Edit:
I think i figured it out, doing some more tests.

Edit:
I think i figured it out, doing some more tests.

I was wrong, i did not figure it out.
I did think i did, but it wasn't working as expected.

My view has basically 2 categories, one for [Series] and one for [Season]. I added a third category based on an expression "[Episode]. [Name]", which did show entries like this in Gizmo, but instead of that being the file, it actually was a separate "folder" with one file inside..

So either i'm still missing some clue, or .. help? :)
All i want is the file entries to show up as "1. Name" instead of just "Name". The number being the [Episode].
