MC17 and Cambridge Audio DACmagic Plus
« on: December 30, 2011, 05:25:38 pm »

Am using MC17 set to wasapi event style with a DACmagic. CA sugest that ASIO is better (lower jitter) but I get an error when I set output to  ASIO, says cannot play this 44.1k/64 bit 2 ch file. I see that ASIO uses the native bit depth, but this is set at the W64 level. How do I configure it to work. Am using a Sony Viao with a Realtek hi def soundcard that will support 24/96.

Or, is WASAPI-event better option using optical conection?

Fixed.

Set up the DAC to USB 2.0 (per the manual)
Install te drivers from te CA website
Set as the default driver in W7 set up, and set the "share" to 24/96
Remember to select the output device when configuring ASIO in MC (D'oh!)
