Preferred plugin registration method

Is there a reccomended procedure for registering a "universal" plugin that works with both Media Center and Media Jukebox?

Currently, this is what I'm doing in DllRegisterServer():
- Find MJFrame window
- Get process path of that window
- Get the executable base name from the path (e.g. "Media Center 16" or "Media Jukebox 14")
- Write to registry under the base name key

It works fine, but please do tell if there is a better way. Thanks.

hi. (finally got my login sorted) and I tried the .exe file and it said install failed.... im on server 2008 x64 using the latest rainmeter.
