Bertelsmann to buy Napster for a song
« on: May 17, 2002, 12:24:19 pm »

How much do you want to bet that if/when Bertelsmann "reopens" Napster it will be MP3 free (favoring some other format with stricter digital rights management controls)?

if you kill a duck, gut it and use the bones to make a basket for your dirty tissues, can you still call it a duck?

Those, wise beyond their years,(one of which I'm not), should have seen this coming long ago, when this whole folly started, and BMG jumped up and said, "Hey, guess what? not a bad idea, maybe WE should buy the company".

Look, you have to take things as they are
Napster was one of the worse software i never see in my life
THEY JUST DON"T CARE ABOUT YOU-TO MAKE MONEY WAS THE ONLY GOAL
You do not have a centralised server, you do not go to wall street, you are not a star with a name and an adress in the media if your only goal is to give free music
Was never the case with the such a poor Napster software.Look like you do not know that ,at the same time than Napster was p2p, with resume download and not on centralised server.Or not in the US
I do not have any problem with the fact to want to make money,as far as you say so
But many people and on the top american people, like to buy the feeling, the idea of 'community'
Like Ebay,of cause it is a community...It is just a corporate worse than the very well know corporates. They just do not care about you. They will kill your wife, kids, pets and gold fish if they find out they can make money doing it
The same with Napster. They never been on your side, they just used you
Not to say Napster was not of any importance,it was of BIG importance
In a normal word it is not normal to get all music for free
But labels people are not normal and most of p2p users are not ever
The problem you have in US is that such idiots rule your country.I do not mean any president of any side, but in the background all this grey s h i t .
Do not forget was Napster was before any kind of project from idiot music corporates.Only hoping that they project will be THE project.Using people, not giving them any respect

If you care about bands having an income, you can download night and day and have a good sleep.
I will post- AGAIN ,I KNOW IT- a link about it

first the link
http://negativland.com/albini

Concerning Big Black ,i got a lot of songs from Audiogalaxy,i still have 'to clean the mess' and try to put names of albums.Look like the songs are from time to time quite differents in style
But if you want to know my feeling ,i just have to buy they records. This is great ,this is a great one string  rock&roll band
I got most of the bands you and others gave me.Meshuggah sound great. But the one who gave me the name said it was prog-metal.If this prog metal,i like it....Did not find any 1000 hurts

Now ,if i speak about Audiogalaxy ,it is not just like it.I am not as much an idiot as i look
On the top of my links, think about it
Emusic: you get "free mp3".You can burn ,put it on p2p
The boss of Emusic is Universal[by the way a french corporate ,not a US one]
On one end they put out protected cds from 'they' artists,on an other hand they sell other artists[not on they catalogue] at cheap price on free mp3
YOU CAN SEE THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT ARTISTS

Now ,let's speak about Audiogalaxy. Here is a p2p software ,in Texas. You can even bee a member if you pay  small money to them every month.Do not look that underground as a p2p service

But on Audiogalaxy first of all you have indee, underground, punk bands. Most of them on indee, small labels. They do block well know bands and mtv s h i t.But you have to know that there is a way to get ALL KIND OF MUSIC on Audiogalaxy, even full albums at once.A very easy way.But you do not expect corporate people to understand that. They are part of the world where to be able to read headlines of tabloids is aking to Oxford
Did you ever heard of Audiogalaxy having any problem? Of cause not
Why,because they have bands who are not on they catalogues
Beside this ,this bands are part of the things that they would like to erease from earth

The problem with terrorists is not what they do,but who they kill
Sure this sentence will be deleted, but for the time it will stay on this forum ,i REALLY mean it

Listening to Polvo on MJ8 at 5 in the morning

The link ,again

has to be good this time
