Anyway to remap channel output order ? (5.1)
« on: January 27, 2012, 07:04:11 pm »

Wondered if there is anyway within the software package to remap channel output order please ?

my AV receiver receives 8 channel lossless PCM via USB

In windows "sound" for this sound device - when you do a sound test (7.1) the sounds come out of the right speakers

but in MC with output format set to 7.1 - Surround Left/Right gets output to Back Left/Right

if you select "clone surround left/right to back left/right" - it seems to work - but then you loose any ability to output proper 7.1

I think whats happening is for some reason L/C/R/Sub/SL/SR/BL/BR is being output wheras my amp seems to expect L/C/R/Sub/BL/BR/SL/SR

its odd though that its output correctly in Windows "sound-test"

any ideas please?

I'm also having this problem since latest MC16 builds, it's annoying.   I think a workaround for this is with parametric EQ's mix channel in DSP settings, but a proper solution would be nice.

Are you using ASIO or WASAPI?  ASIO doesn't always use the standard channel ordering.

In these cases, you can use Parametric Equalizer to move channels.
