Feature request - Play on Player (server) for Video
« on: January 07, 2012, 12:28:47 pm »

Perhaps I'm the only one who would love to see this available?

In my case for video I either navigate MC on my TV via mini wireless keyboard OR I RDP using my notebook and start video then exit the RDP session to return the display to the TV.

If I could use my notebook (or other device) to use a local MC install or WebGizmo to play Video at the server like I do with audio that would be amazing.

Have you tried Library Server?

Hi. Unless I'm mistaken I think your answer is the opposite of what I'm asking? I want playback to occur on the HTPC itself (where the library and media is) and just use the remote/client to control selection and playback just as I would with audio to play THERE.

Thx

OK looks like I didn't know what I was talking about once again. Connecting with client to Library Server works great as does WebRemote. If I'm not mistaken one caveat is that the player has to be running (not just the media server) maximized/on top on the server to play.

Only WebGizmo does not play on "player" as instructed to. You can control video once it is already playing but not initiate playing on the server. Since it works in WebRemote then I'm sure this is an easy fix.

Thx
