Gizmo download problem
« on: February 17, 2012, 12:31:28 pm »

I'm sure this has been answered before however my search of the forum doesn't find it.  I have purchased MC17 after the free trial and downloaded the Gizmo app on my Android phone.  It asked for the access code wich I found based on the download instructions.  I entered it but it won't work.  I have set all things based on the pictures and written instructions.  What next?  Thanks for your help.

The wiki has a topic on Gizmo that has instructions.

The Access Key is generated by MC on the server.  It's in Tools/Options/Media Network.

Thanks Jim.  I must not have been clear in my original post.  I have followed the wiki instruction and have entered the access code into the window on my phone where it is asked for.  The return message says that it is either not the correct code (which is the 6 letter one I found in the setting on my MC17) or I'm not connected (which I am).

The instructions will tell you pretty much everything I know.  If it isn't working, there are several possibilities.  No wireless connection, firewall, etc.  Please take another look.

There is a test function in the Media Network options.

There is a wiki topic called "Network Access".

Thanks Jim.  Turned out that it was the Windows Firewall that was the culprit.  Now I'm trying to sync the Gizmo on my phone with my PerfectWave DAC with Bridge.
