Maybe today, maybe next week, we'll have a new plug-in, thanks to Matt.

The bad news first. It won't be free, but you can help set the price. It will have a free trial period.

The good news is that you will be able to run it much as you would a visualization. It inserts itself into MJ as a display plugin.

Right now, it does the following:
1. Let's you specify an image folder.
2. Switches manually, or at 2 second, 5 second, 10 second, etc. intervals.
3. Provides 6 or 8 different transitions between images.
4. Images can be in random order, aspect ratio can be maintained.
5. As with visualizations, it can be an internal or external window and can be full screen.

In the next couple of weeks, it will acquire more features. Things like "change image on track change".

I've been using it at home the last couple of days, and it is very cool. It adds another dimension. Best of all, ladies like it.

That sounds like a real cool feature. Is there a limit on how many images you can put in the folder?

No. It will show whatever is there, including sub-directories -- if you want it to.

How about this, jack the price of MJ up a couple of bucks and include the plug-in? You've already had numerous posts from users saying they would be willing to spend more on the program anyway. Then again, make a pro version and a standard one. Gives the users the choice to go for everything or just the basics.

To be honest with you King, neither do I. But, that isn't to say there won't be someone wanting some feature such as this. It would of more interest to me if efforts went towards developing the Album View concept further. Being visually oriented beings, this makes a lot of sense. When you have a cd in hand, you look at the cover, and you can recognise what songs are on there that you like instantly.

I'm really not sure what a fair price for such a plugin would be. If the "main" software is ~$25 would 25% of that be too much? Perhaps. If JRiver had the resources to develop "packs" of plugins that might be more attractive (the idea of paying $5 for a single plugin might be objectionable to some but $10 for three might sound like a bargain).

To me it seems perfectly reasonable to make a charge for the slide plug-in. The price for MJ is extremely reasonable and I certainly don't expect to get an additional benefit without paying for it. I have several slide show programs, but will purchase this one when available.

Well, the coolest thing that the slide show does is pull images from the web, based on keywords you enter or based on what you're currently playing.

So, listen to "Metallica", see tons of fresh Metallica pictures you've never seen. It's kind of fun.

I forgot to comment on the subject. I was reading along and thinking "Slide show? Who needs a stinking slide show?" Then I came to the part about pulling pictures off the internet. No picture file compiling. I have very few and most are not music related. But "suprise" pictures? And in conjunction with what I'm listening to? That is interesting. I'll play.

If you raise the price of MJ to include the slide show plug-in, then what about the people who already bought the program without it who might want it?

If it's <$10 as a plug-in, I might buy it. It depends:
