Can only select one item in a Tag List [SOLVED]

I just noticed this today while adding some new music to the library on my PC. In my (custom) Dance Style column, when I select a style any previously tagged styles become unchecked and if I try to recheck them only one item can be checked. this is in the Pane Tagging Mode (F4) and action window and via file list.

This is similar to a problem I had when I first set up the tag list. http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=68829.msg465152#msg465152
However that has been corrected and the list is the same as it is on my netbook which is working fine:

I'm wondering if the library on the PC has been corrupted?
Any ideas?

2. Changed: List fields can be configured to use a standard edit or list edit style. Existing user created list-type fields will need to be updated in Options > Library & Folders > Manage library fields > Edit Type > List if you want a list-type editor for them.
