Gapeless Play
« on: March 29, 2012, 06:50:57 am »

Hi,

I tried every setting, but I can't get real gapeless play in JRiver 17.
The tracks seem to start a little too late...

Every idea appreciated!

Thanks!

Options/Audio/Track change: Switch tracks=>Gapless and check "Use gapless for sequential album tracks". Did you set it up this way?

Disable 'Do not play silence' and set 'Switch tracks' to 'Gapless' in Options > Playback.

If there's still a gap, it could be because you're switching sample rates between songs.  In this case, you have to use DSP Studio > Output Format to resample to a common rate, or live with a little gap.

(ps. I was typing this while audioriver replied, but I'll post it anyway)

Go to Tools > Options > Audio > Track Change.  Select "Switch Tracks: Gapless" and check "Do not play silence (leading and trailing)".  This works for me.  Just selecting Gapless still leaves a gap.

Nick.
