BUG: MC17 paints over apps that should be 'Always on Top'
« on: May 09, 2012, 11:16:16 am »

Steps to reproduce:

1. start VLC with 'always on top' (Video > Always on Top)

2. start MC17 and click any tree item to select a different view

3. VLC is now hidden by MC17 but it should not be

Note: this happens with other 'Always on Top' applications, e.g. Notepad++ (View > Always on Top), http://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/stickies/ reminders, etc.

Sorry, I meant to reply and forgot.

I tried here with Notepad++ when you first reported, and couldn't reproduce it.

Does switching skins make a difference?  Try one with no glass, like Noire.

Thanks, guys.

I just tried to reproduce with the steps I gave and it did not happen. But then I minimised, maximised and then the problem struck again. I have 'Minimize to System Tray' selected in options - could that be a factor?

@Matt - I've always used the 'Noire' skin. But I just tried 'Noire Glass' and same result - but only after I have minimised (to system tray) and then maximised again.
