Track order problem
« on: May 24, 2012, 07:46:20 pm »

I'm going bat crazy here. I've got one album in my collection for which track #1 appears at the end, after the final track #8. Yes, if I click on Track # I can "sort inside group by track #," but that's only temporary. Every time I go back to this album that track is back in the final position. I've changed the file name to make sure it has the track number first, but this doesn't help. What am I doing wrong? Out of over 2000 albums, this is the only one with this glitch.

You could try editing the track number for the problem file, or you could use the Library Tool called "Fill track numbers from list order".

I believe the default sort uses [Disc #] as well as [Track #], to also check that is not causing the problem.

It's not a disc # problem, and I tried the fill track numbers From list order. Doesn't work. Any other ideas?

If you show the Disc # (not Track #) column, what does it show for the tracks on the album?

No difference. Why would what columns I choose to display make a difference?

Is there some kind of metadata that I've inadvertently messed up?

I should add that when I choose "locate" on disk (inside Media Center), the tracks are in the right order.

Also, when I access the album throb Gizmo, they're also in the right order.

And, finally, when I look at the album in Theater View the tracks are also in the right order. It's just in Standard View that Track 1 is misplaced. Strange.
