I currently have the Ceton InfiniTV card, but seeing as how my cable bill just went up by $33 this month (no surprise), I decided to cancel the TV portion of the cable and keep my internet. So for the most part the Ceton card is pretty much useless without the Cablecard.

So, I am thinking of getting the Hauppauge 1196 WinTV-HVR-1250 card to put in the place of the Ceton (and possibly sell). Has anyone tested whether this card will work in MC17? At least it will free me from the WMC prison as far as local channels are concerned. Most other stuff I can catch online.

I waited to see if there are any users having experience with this device.  I guess no one has.

Users have used various Hauppauge devices in MC without any problem.  Therefore I do not see why this device would not work in MC.  If there are problems, we will fix them.  If you already have this device, you should just try it out.
