Does VideoSync solve the 24p bug of Sandy Bridge CPUs ?
« on: June 11, 2012, 06:47:04 am »

The new Ivy Bridge GPU has solved the 24p bug. The benefit of Ivy Bridge shows itself in better 3D graphic. The 2D qualities for video remain equal compared to Sandy Bridge - except the problem with 24p monitors.

Is it for economized users the better way to go with an i5-2500K than for an i5-3570K? Reason: MC17 solves with VideoSync the 24p bug as work around. Right?

The savings are 20 Euros ($16 USD) in comparison to new CPUs.

MC's VideoSync works perfectly with Sandy Bridge.  I've removed my nvidia card and am just running on the iGPU on an i7-2600K just fine with madVR.

Thanks for your feedback.  :) Then Iīll go with a i5-2500K in second hand quality.

Here a summary of benchmarks for video quality of sandy and ivy bridge. Itīs in German but the charts speak a clear speech.

Higher points mean better video quality. http://www.computerbase.de/artikel/grafikkarten/2012/test-intel-graphics-hd-4000-und-2500/6/
