Sharing

Ok. I know this will be tricky because of the huge controversy right now between file sharing etc etc but at the end of the day it's gonna get sorted eventually.

Me and my friends have a lot of songs we like and we're always telling each other what songs to get etc.
It'd be REALLY nice if there was some way we could make playlists on our Jukebox of not songs that we actually have but of songs we want. And then it'd be even better if we could easily display this list on a website and stuff for friends easily to see.
Also link to each others Jukeboxes and kinda see what we all have and stuff.
I know it's tricky with the law status right now and you have to be careful what you add but as long as your careful with it then adding the ability for them to talk to each other and stuff would be really nice.
Maybe the ability to get files off each others computers too - limit it to 3 users with passwords and user names - this wouldn't be any worse than  an ftp server and they cant sue you for file trading as it's hardly providing a means to file trade, no more than cd burners are, ftp servers, apache web server etc.
It's not a global means of getting files, just something between friends who know specific user names and passwords and whether or not the music industry likes it, not all music is copyrighted and they dont have claims on ALL MUSIC UNDER THE SUN. There's a lot of it out there that we are fully legally aloud to share.

These would be REALLY nice features.

Oh yeah, and another thing, it'd be REALLY nice to be able to share our radio stations really easily. Just type in another users IP address and click send and it sends the radio station directly to their media jukebox so they can add it to their favourites. Set it up kind of like how the plugins are set up where they automatically set themselves up when downloaded.

Nila,
Most of the sharing that is done is illegal.  Eventually the law will get sorted out, but until then, we don't do that.  I suggest you consider the same.

Closing this thread now.
