can't run or uninstall/reinstall Media Center
« on: September 01, 2012, 05:19:50 pm »

Had some PC problems, and I seemed to have fixed them, but now can't run MC, and can't reinstall. After extraction get error saying "Install Launcher has stopped working."  Only thing I came up with is that maybe the InstallLauncher.exe file is gone from my machine. (Not sure, could be MC is trying to install and run this.)  Error details below.  I can run MC on my other machine, but would like to be able to run it on this one.  Have already purchased the MC18 upgrade.  Using MediaMonkey for now.

Try downloading from our site.  17.0.184 is at the top of the MC17 board.

Reboot.

Thanks for your reply.  I wasn't able to install or uninstall even with a fresh download. I eventually had to reinstall the OS (MC was the only program that wouldn't open, but I started having other problems as well).  MC reinstalled just fine afterwards.
