eyemaster-
I can rip CD's with v8 using my Plextor SCSI drives, but I can not play CD's in digital mode.

Hopefully this is fixed in the next build (something greater than 8.0.253). Please let me know if digital playback works ok (or not) for you.

Hi John,

Doesn't work on mine !

Digital playback tested on :
PleXwriter 24/10/40 ---> OK
NEC DV-5800A DVD Player ---> OK
UltrapleX 40max (SCSI) ---> NOPE*


* It just passes over each track whitout playing any sound !

JohnT - Digital playback works on both my PlexWriter 8/20 and UltraPlex 40max now.

I just realized digital playback only works on my writer with Windows Media Player, I have to use analog for my Ultraplex.

I also switched back to ASPI v4.60 from v4.70 because of blue screen crashes while writing with CDRWin.  v4.60 seems more stable to me.  By the way, the blue screen error said something about pool size.  Adaptec does mention something about this in the v4.70 Release.txt file, but it was a little over my head.

Did you try version 8.0.254?

Your system info states that you have version 8.0.250

Upgraded to 8.0.254

 went around to check connections, SCSI card drivers,
settings, and ....

 upgraded Ultraplex 40max firmware from 1.04 > 1.05 (latest
 available)

Didn't help anyway.

(Note : doesn't work either with MS Windows Media Player !
       but works with both in analogic mode)
