How to make short movies appear as movies instead of TV Shows
« on: February 14, 2013, 08:03:44 pm »

When I add short movies to MC18, it treats them as TV Shows. However, they are not TV Shows. How do I fix this?

Change the [Media Sub Type] tag from TV Show to Movie.

If you can't see this tag in the Tag Action Window, either add it as a column to Details view on the right (I think that works for that field) or pick the little button on the top-left of the Tag Action Window and choose Also Show > Media Sub Type.

Then change it for all of them that are wrong.

You can also set it as Shorts, and make a view specifically for them.

Instead of doing this all the time, you can set the auto import rules for the folder with movie clips to [Media Sub Type] = Short or Movie. That is if you add such things more than once.

I quickly understood that I can't the built in detection system all the way, so I did this for every media type I had. No, it's all categorized with 100% certainty.
