custom fields
« on: March 30, 2013, 09:34:14 pm »

In my previous version of MC I created a custom field called Speed, which really was a tempo field but with my own ratings rather than those auto created by MC. But my new version of MC doesn't recognize that field. I think it would still be imbedded in the file, I hope, but how can I get MC to recognize it?

Welcome to the forum.  You need to add the field in MC.  The name must be identical.

Or you could probably solve it by importing your old library and settings.

I created a Speed field, integer/five stars.   Filed is there now but no ratings for any. But updating library from tags is filling in the ratings, thanks

If I renamed the field would it cause a problem?

You can't rename a field once created.  You can change the display name though, and that should be fine.
