[HTPC] newbie help

Hi all,

i have been digging through the posts, but now its even more unclear :)

doubt 1: intel 3225 vs amd a10/5800k
doubt 2: discrete gpu (light gaming planned)?
doubt 3: remote options (logitech harmony in possesion), how do i better enable power on/off?

The remote that MC sells ( an MCE remote) powers on/off (sleep) the htpc and has IR blaster to power on/off TV and control amplifier (or TV) volume.

Regarding "doubt 3", refer here for relevant advice (you don't have to throw away your Harmony unit just yet):

"doubt 1" .. hmm .. no comment.

"doubt 2" .. My case has limited space and, anyway, the PCI slot is obstructed by heat pipes so I take a CPU integrated approach to graphics and seems to work well enough for my video needs (I don't run it for gaming though).

I'd think if you've got room in your case and the spare dough, then a dedicated graphics card would make sense if you're going to play games on your PC. But, I'm admittedly not the right bloke to ask.
